Grant Rawdin is Founder and CEO of Wescott.  He founded the firm in 1987, which grew from the tax, business and estate services he provided to clients at Duane Morris LLP, a venerable AMLaw 100 law firm.  Grant is an attorney, an accountant and a Certified Financial Planner™ and has served as advisor to many businesses, providing strategic, ongoing, and merger and acquisition advice.  He is admitted to both the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bars.

Grant and Wescott are recognized as leading the investment and financial planning industry in innovation, growth and size. Wescott is among the top 50 financial advisors in the U.S. in the Top 100 rankings and #3 in Pennsylvania by Barron’s.  His articles, research and advice have been regularly featured in scores of national, local, popular and industry publications.  He is also a frequent speaker on a variety of issues at national conferences.

Grant is a member of the Fidelity Clearing & Custody RIA Segment Advisor Council and has served on the Charles Schwab and Co., Inc. Institutional Advisory Board.  A founding member of the Advisory Council of the CFP Board Center for Financial Planning, he has served as a leader of many financial and legal professional organizations over the years.  Grant currently serves as a member of the Board of Visitors of the Temple University Beasley School of Law, and as President of the Law School Foundation.   He was inducted into Temple University’s Gallery of Success, an elite group of alumni who have established notable careers in their fields of study.

Civically, Grant served as Vice-Chair of the Board of the nationally regarded Urban Affairs Coalition, whose mission is to improve life’s chances for young people, low-income families and businesses by creating economic opportunities and strengthening non-profits in urban communities.  UAC runs or partners in more than 70 substantive programs and has an annual budget over $30 million to accomplish its mission.  In 2014, Grant was awarded the prestigious Doer Award, given by former Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell, for substantial and long-standing contributions to the community.  Deepening his involvement in the city’s cultural community, he became a member of the Professional Advisors Council of the Barnes Foundation in 2016.

Grant brought his expertise and civic experience to Josh Shapiro’s successful 2016 campaign for Pennsylvania Attorney General, serving as Campaign Treasurer.

Grant is a graduate of Temple University Beasley School of Law and Temple University, where he received his B.A. in English literature.  He is the very proud father of four children and resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with his wife, Laura Rawdin.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and federally registered CFP (with flame design) in the U.S. which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
